Dr. Raelene Fulford received her DDS degree in 2007 and her Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry in 2010 from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, a background that continues to shape her interest in oral function, speech, feeding, breathing, and pediatric airway health.
Throughout her career, Dr. Rae has pursued extensive continuing education in pediatric dentistry, laser dentistry, tongue and lip ties, and airway-focused care. Most recently, she completed an interdisciplinary program in tongue and lip tie treatment and airway health through The Breathe Institute, earning the Breathe Institute Ambassador certification. She has also completed additional education through The Vivos Institute in pediatric airway health, sleep-disordered breathing, and craniofacial growth and development, as well as specialized education and mentorship in frenectomy and laser treatment.
Dr. Rae has been recognized as a Top Dentist in Colorado and has received the Award for Excelling in Pediatric Dentistry from the Southern California Society for Pediatric Dentistry, as well as recognition as a Most Loved Pediatric Dentist in Boulder County. She was also honored to be featured in Riverside’s “I Own It” campaign for her contributions to her local community. Dr. Rae is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Metro Denver Dental Society.
Supporting the community surrounding Camp Little Tooth has always been important to Dr. Rae. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the WOW! Children’s Museum and continues to support local schools, community organizations, and programs benefiting children and families.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Rae is one of four children. From the age of eight, she knew she wanted to become a children’s dentist after spending time with her dad in his dental practice. In her senior high-school yearbook, she even listed “Children’s Dentist” as her desired profession. She is thrilled to be living that dream and helping children enjoy the dental experience rather than fear it.
Dr. Rae fell in love with outdoor adventures when she and her siblings were introduced to camping at a young age. Summers were spent hiking, backpacking, canoeing, sailing, camping, and exploring National Parks. Her passion for children’s dentistry and love of the outdoors became the inspiration for Camp Little Tooth®. She hopes to inspire kids not only to understand the importance of good oral health, but also to appreciate an active lifestyle, nature, healthy habits, and, most importantly, a spirit of adventure.
She believes a dental office does not have to feel intimidating or sterile, but can instead be a place of warmth, trust, and plenty of laughter. You may even see her making balloon monkeys, flowers, hats, swords, or princess wands to delight her campers.
Dr. Rae loves calling Colorado home and enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, kayaking, camping, backpacking, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Jeff. She also loves to sing and has a longtime passion for musical theater, having performed in productions including Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, Oliver! and The Music Man. For many years, her beloved therapy dog, Montana, was also a special part of the Camp Little Tooth family and brought comfort and joy to countless campers.
Dr. Rae deeply appreciates the trust families place in her to care for their children and is committed to creating an experience that feels thoughtful, compassionate, and genuinely enjoyable. Her goal is for every child to leave Camp Little Tooth feeling confident, cared for, and, of course, like a happy camper.
Dr. Amy Zelko is originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin. She loves camp activities and one of her first jobs was a camp counselor at a summer day camp. She graduated as the valedictorian of her high school class and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Her goal was to have a career that allowed her to combine her love for science, art, and helping children. This led her to Marquette University School of Dentistry. In dental school she served as her class liaison and as the president of the Marquette Special Care Dentistry Association (SCDA) Student Network. She graduated second in her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Honor Dental Society. After dental school, Dr. Amy completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, which is consistently ranked in the top five children’s hospitals in the country.
Dr. Amy’s husband, Colin, previously served in the United States Navy, which brought them to South Carolina and Virginia prior to moving to Colorado. As a military spouse she gained a lot of experience working at multiple different types of dental offices, surgery centers, and hospitals. She has worked with many other pediatric dentists around the country and in doing so has picked up new skills and techniques.
Dr. Amy has completed the rigorous examinations required to become board-certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the College of Diplomates. She is also a certified Dental Trauma Guide member.
Parents love that Dr. Amy strives to provide the highest quality of dental care for every young patient she sees. She is known for her warm and caring professional demeanor. Providing a positive dental experience for both her patients and their parents is her top priority.
In her free time, Dr. Amy enjoys traveling, hiking, snowboarding, listening to music, reading books, and trying out new coffee shops. Dr. Amy is so excited to be back at camp and cannot wait to meet all the amazing campers at Camp Little Tooth!
Dr. Yasmeen is from the beautiful state of New Mexico. She knew she wanted to be a dentist since she was a freshman in high school! She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from New Mexico State University in 2016, followed by her DDS at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2020.
After four years in the Midwest, she came to Colorado to complete her General Practice Residency at Denver Health Medical Center. This gave her further experience in pediatrics, endodontics, oral surgery, and emergency dentistry to become a well-rounded General Dentist. She then practiced General Dentistry in the Denver area at a family practice for three years. It was her positive experiences treating children and families that led her to pursue her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Denver Health Medical Center.
Dr. Yasmeen is excited to provide compassionate, thoughtful, quality care to her patients. She believes that positive early experiences lead to a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles! She loves to travel, try new restaurants with her husband, and spend time outside with her rescue pup, Maizey.
